Sweetheart Dance
Irmo Elementary School PTA proudly hosts an annual Sweetheart Dance
The dance is intended for IES students and their favorite adult(s). It is held in the Cafe at IES so there is limited capacity and tickets usually sell out. So, be sure to order early. Information regarding the date, time and specifics of this year's dance can be found on our Facebook Page or by clicking the Buy Tickets Here link below.
Parking will be available in the lot off Fork Avenue and the entrance will be in the cafeteria next to the library.

FAQ
Who can come?
The dance is open to IES students and an adult guest of their choosing.
Can siblings who do not attend IES come?
An adult sibling may attend as the adult guest of the student. However, we cannot allow siblings outside of that parameter to attend due to district policy.
Why is it not called a Daddy/Daughter dance?
Not all families are the same. First, we wanted both the boys and girls of IES to all feel welcome to take part in this special event. In addition, we wanted kids who may not have a male family member available, to also feel welcome. They can bring another parent, grandparent guardian, mentor, any adult of their choosing.
When will I get my ticket?
Tickets will go home about a week before the dance. If for some reason, it gets lost, we will have PTA members checking people in and they will be able to confirm your ticket via our list.
What if I lose my ticket?
If for some reason, it gets lost, we will have PTA members checking people in and they will be able to confirm your ticket via our list.

What should we wear?
Children are welcome to come in anything from their Sunday finest to their favorite princess costume. This dance is for their enjoyment. Just please be mindful of the school dress code. Dresses should not be too short and straps should not be too thin.
Where do we park?
Parking will be available in the lot off Fork Avenue and the entrance to the dance will be the cafeteria side door next to the library (the Afternoon Safari entrance).
Can we bring cameras?
Please! There will be a photo booth for your photo-snapping pleasure. Just be mindful of the privacy of others when posting any images to social media.
What else do we need to know?
This event is intended to be a fun night for our students. To ensure everyone's enjoyment, it's important that students remember our 3 B's and behave in a respectable manner. Adult's accompanying students are expected to chaperone their child. Dancing, singing and jumping are all expected. However, if a child is destroying decorations, turning off lights and behaving in a way not in accordance with the 3 B's they and the adult attending with them may be asked to leave.
